Just a few days ago, the US Department of Defense released a report with the real reason for the sanctions against Xiaomi. But now we can see a shift in events, and it seems that sanctions will be suspended.
In January of this year, just days before the end of the term of office of former US President Donald Trump, Xiaomi, along with other companies, was added to the US blacklist.
Xiaomi also took legal action when the US Department of Defense sued. It seems to have borne fruit and the situation has started to move in the right direction. As mentioned, a few days ago we learned that the sanctions were behind the award of CEO Xiaomi Lei Jun from 2019. But now Federal Judge Washington D.C. announced that the fate of Xiaomi would be decided in the coming days.
Suspension of sanctions
Unfortunately, Xiaomi’s lawyers have not yet been able to convince the judge of the complete lifting of the sanctions, but on the other hand, they have so far managed to suspend their effectiveness. But it is definitely a step forward and we believe that Xiaomi is shining for better times.
